In early 2008 Ignored Prayers began as a platform for image sharing amongst bicoastal friends with a mutual appreciation of dark humor. What started off as a joke, soon gained a cult following and became a hub for primitive memes, art, events, music, and obscure cultural references. It filled a void in a pre-social media frenzied world. As the community grew, a demand for something tangible arose and a small batch of tees and stickers was produced for friends and family. Over time, Ignored Prayers would occasionally venture offline by throwing parties, sponsoring events, and making zines and screenprints, but always shied away from becoming a commercial entity.
Now over ten years later, Ignored Prayers has officially launched product, but at the core remains a DIY passion project with friends and like-minded people. The range includes branded apparel, accessories, and published works to continue the narrative of the original message, in a tactile way. Beyond product, Ignored Prayers spans events, music, art installations, and design services.
